How I will help you ?

From our initial discussion / meeting, information will be taken from you to ascertain your current personal situation, in the form of a Factfind. This will be completed at a convenient time to you safely and securely enabling me to indicate your borrowing potential and estimated monthly mortgage cost.

Relevant documents will be requested, from you, to allow the mortgage application process to proceed. I will also steer you in the right direction on property choices and its suitability for a mortgage.

Additionally, I will:

  • Liaise with the estate agent on your behalf

  • Source appropriate mortgage lenders / products that are suitably tailored to you and your requirements and provide illustrations

  • Ensure you know all the costs associated with your mortgage including stamp duty (if applicable), valuation options and lender fees.

  • Complete (when appropriate) a Decision in Principle (sometimes called an AIP or DIP) and upon a successful outcome send a full mortgage application to the proposed lender.

  • Keep you fully informed on the application status and what to expect.

Once a mortgage offer is made available, I’ll make sure you understand your obligations to the lender and go through the mortgage offer in detail.

I’ll liaise with your solicitor through to the exchanging of contracts (if purchasing a property) and completion of your purchase.

Essentially, I will make sure you understand the mortgage process from the very start to the finish and always be available even after you have collected the keys.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
